About Rinseless Washing

Rinseless wash technology has been around for decades, but it is just now catching on. A chemically mild blend-meaning heavily diluted-of polymers and surfactants do a majority of the work. When applied to your vehicle, they begin breaking down the dirt and grime, and then encapsulate them away from the surface of the paint where it can all be easily wiped away.

Because the the things that would otherwise scratch your paint has been encapsulated, this method is entirely safe for your paint. Infact, washing a vehicle with our rinseless wash solution is not really much different than foaming washes. When foam is sprayed on the car, everytime a bubble bursts, it is picking up a piece of contamination. Our rinseless does this automatically, without bubbles, and continues to break it down into smaller bits until the car is dried.

Diamond M Detail uses rinseless wash as an environmentally friendly car wash technology. If you wash your car at home, for every minute that your typical water hose is on, gallons of water are consumed. You can see this running down your driveway and filling up in the gutter. If you use a pressure washer, you are actually using even less water. Even still, just applying foam can use a gallon of water each time the car is coated--which should be at least twice. Rinsing uses significantly more water than that.

Rinseless Washing, however, is outstanding when it comes to water conservation. Applying the solution to even a large vehicle uses only about 1 quart--or the same amount that is in the foam canon, plus water from the pressure water to apply it. The hands on, mechanical wash uses only about gallon. For Diamond M Detail, about another gallon is used to thoroughly clean wheels and tires. The dirtiest vehicle we have washed using rinseless wash solutions used only three gallons of water... and it was BAD.

The chemical load in a rinseless wash is also quite dilute. Only 1 tablespoon of rinseless wash is added to each gallon of water. Foaming washes use much more--sometimes up to 25%, or 8oz per quart, or a quart per gallon.
That's a lot of chemicals running down your driveway and into the storm drain.

Diamond M Detail is really the best way to keep your car looking good AND respecting our natural resources.

All of that said, there are times were a vehicle is so far neglected, that it's going to take time, water, and soap to clean it up. For those times, we are prepared.
